About the Author:
Gwyneth Rees is a child and adolescent psychiatrist and the author of the Cosmo series, the Fairy Dust series, and Red House Children's Book Award winner The Mum Hunt.

Grade 2-4–Connie must live in an estate cottage with her Uncle Maurice and Aunt Alice for the summer. Life in the countryside can be very lonely for a young girl. She befriends a fairy named Ruby, and the pair begin a quest to help Ruby locate a ring she lost and return it to its rightful owner, ending Ruby's banishment from fairyland. In the process, Connie reunites members of an estranged family and learns about friendship.
