He then became a banking and finance reporter in the Journal's Dallas bureau. In 1986, he joined Forbes magazine to cover international business and finance. He then became editor of American Banker, rejoining Dow Jones as managing editor of Barron's in 1993. Finn was named editor of the magazine in 1995, assuming additional responsibilities as president of Barron's in 1998, and has recently served as the magazine's publisher.
