Resilience God Style derives its primary content from Resilient Warriors, published in 2011. Since that time, the Resilient Warriors content (and the associated Resilient Warriors Advanced Study Guide) has proven relevant and popular across a wide range of venues, particularly as the primary texts for thousands of resilience students in psychology and counseling courses at Liberty University. Resilient Warriors content, now rebranded as "Resilience God Style," has also fueled hundreds of faith-based resilience presentations, training seminars, conferences, and small group studies. The Resilience God Style book has a companion Resilience God Style Study Guide for personal and small group use, helping one personalize applications of the content. As well, this Resilience God Style book content is further amplified in the Resilience God Style Video Series, a nine-week study program for churches, small groups, and other organizations. Finally, the Resilience God Style Training Game is available as a fun, dynamic, and educational faith-based board game for home schoolers, Christian schools, and multi-generational family use. We use the term resilience to describe the process of bouncing back, as well as "upstream" actions to prepare for the "storms of life" and to weather these storms "until the destruction passes byż" (Psalm 57:1b) This resilience is a critical life skill for all of us, recognizing that adversity is an enduring reality and part of the "human condition." Resilience God Style uses Biblical truth as the primary source of enduring resilience principles and makes them available to "warriors" in every endeavor of life.

Resilience God Style
Endorsement by Governor Mike Huckabee
I was privileged to provide the Foreword for General Bob Dees’ first book, Resilient Warriors, in 2011. I knew at the time that this book would be relevant and popular, as has been the case. While Resilient Warriors had natural appeal to military personnel, their families, and military caregivers; the book had unexpected appeal to the general populace and to academia. At Liberty University, thousands of students have used Resilient Warriors in their psychology (undergraduate) and counseling (graduate) curriculums. The same content has fueled a multitude of small groups, conferences, and training seminars, branded as “Resilience God Style.” Such faith-based resilience is critically needed in America today.
Now Bob Dees gives us the Resilience God Style book, containing the same valuable Resilient Warriors content, yet updated to appeal to an even broader audience and to complement the Resilience God Style curriculum and video series. Resilience God Style is an invaluable, Biblically-based tool for preparing for the inevitable storms of life, weathering those storms, and bouncing back without getting stuck in the toxic emotions of guilt, false guilt, anger, and bitterness.
I highly recommend Resilience God Style as your pathway to readiness for whatever challenges you may face, and a roadmap to recovery when we have hit the hard concrete of life. Resilience truly is a critical life skill—Resilience God Style will help you master it.
“America’s heroes have been at war for more than a decade, selflessly defending our nation. They are the brightest and bravest of their generation. General Bob Dees knows the dangers they have faced, the sacrifices they have made and the challenges confronting their loved ones. If you know a veteran of a long ordeal, Resilient Warriors is a ‘must read’ for them—and for you.”
~ Lt. Col. Oliver L. North, USMC, Retired
Host of War Stories on FOX News and author of the “American Heroes” book series
“A must read book for every leader and care-giver intent on providing help and hope to those recovering from combat trauma or any painful, life-changing event. With extensive research and com- passionate observations, this resource offers valuable insights to veterans, past and present, who continue to navigate their way back home to normalcy. The spiritual principles of resilience presented in this book will help the reader manage the most difficult traumatic event in their life with increased confidence and the assurance of restoration. I highly recommend this book to every military chaplain in the critical pastoral care they daily provide to our veterans and their families.”
~ Douglas L. Carver, Chaplain Major General, United States Army, Retired
