Book
Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. New York: New York Sunday Times, 1937. Two clippings from the December 19, 1937 Sunday Times, both regrading the famed Dionne Quintuplets, who were born May 28, 1934, hence were about three and a half years old at the time of these photos. The Dionne Quints were the first set of quintuplets, so far as is known, to survive infancy. Both photos are unevenly scissor-clipped from the newspaper, and the newsprint paper is age-toned, but they are otherwise in at least Very Good condition. See scans. The larger photograph, approximately 7" x 6 3/4", shows the quints in a Christmas nativity setting entitled "Star of the East". The smaller clipping, approximately 6" x 4 7/8", shows them in an ad for Quaker Oats (the quints were a gold mine for quite a few folks) at what seems to be an earlier age, but this photograph is copyrighted 1937 as well. Vintage ephemera. leph2.
