This is the transcript of the Firing Line program taped at WETA in Washington, D.C., on March 30, 1973, and originally telecast on PBS on April 8, 1973 (and not April 15, 1973 as stated in the transcript). The host was William F. Buckley, Jr.; the topic was "The Federal Government and Education"; the guest was Caspar Weinberger, Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare. The panelists, all from Georgetown University, were Father Edmund G.
